Canon expands partners’ small business printing line-up with new imageRUNNER device

LONDON, 2 May 2017 – Canon, world leader in imaging solutions, has today announced the latest device to extend its wide-ranging office solutions portfolio even further. The imageRUNNER C3025i utilises Canon’s award-winning technology to ensure that users’ master their document workflows from start to finish. This new device bolsters partners’ service proposition, allowing them to offer a highly efficient printing line-up at a reduced cost to serve.

Establish consultancy credentials
With data security now an increasing priority to modern working environments of all sizes, the new device gives partners the opportunity to leverage Canon’s impressive security credentials when addressing their customers’ document processes. While the device comes with native secure printing, IPSec and the option of encrypted PDF functionality, partners have a real opportunity to grow their business through the implementation of value added services including batch configuration and remote firmware updates to ensure greater control of customers’ output.

Embedded compatibility with Canon’s award-winning uniFLOW management software means that businesses can manage their entire fleets centrally, helping to ensure that physical assets and documents remain secure, while also addressing the total cost of print to partners.

Enhanced printing portfolio
The compact, colour A3 device uses V² colour imaging technology to print at speeds of up to 25 pages per minute and includes the option of a 3-in-1 finisher that combines staple, staple-on-demand and ECO staple to deliver high quality outputs time and time again.

With the proliferation of a bring your own device (BYOD) culture in modern office environments, the new imageRUNNER C3025i allows customers to execute their mobile workflows using technologies such as the Canon’s PRINT Business App, AirPrint, Mopria and Google Cloud Printing platform. To help keep up with the demands of modern workspaces without compromising on security, IT administrators can also help employees to connect through a direct WiFi connection to prevent personal devices being connected to the company network.

An opportunity for profit
The imageRUNNER C3025i utilises parts of the imageRUNNER ADVANCE award-winning technology enabling partners to utilise existing hardware and servicing expertise.

Remote management and servicing capabilities include toner management and remote diagnostics, making the ongoing maintenance of the device effortless and improves service efficiency levels. The cost and time required to install the device is also minimised thanks to the standardisation a reversing automatic document feeder (RADF).

Furthermore, there are common finishing options with the existing imageRUNNER ADVANCE C3500 devices, meaning fewer lines will need to be ordered and kept on premises, further reducing ongoing costs associated with the device.

Partners can also help customers to replace their own consumables via easy to follow pre-installed maintenance videos and, thanks to GDLS functionality, users can easily update their device to the latest available firmware ensuring a strong return on investment of their asset, without needing a service call out. These advanced features all help to ensure partners can deliver a high level of customer satisfaction and reduce their overall cost to serve.

Daniel Woodstock, Product Marketing Manager at Canon Europe, comments: “The latest imageRUNNER device provides small businesses with enterprise level print and scan functions, at a reduced cost to serve for partners. Packed full of cost effective features to help improve productivity, partners can leverage their existing sales knowledge to help them provide quality consultancy to their customers.”

The new device will be available from 1st June 2017.
